SECTION 3: PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
PROFILER is an odorless mixed acid that is water-clear in color, non-petroleum, nonflammable and user friendly.
SECTION 4: BASIC USE
An PROFILER application will, provide significant invisible anti-slip properties to mineral vitreous, or non-vitreous, surfaces such as
ceramic tile, quarry tile, limestone, granite, smooth troweled concrete, and even marble. An application of PROFILER will remain effective for up to five years in a low traffic setting and up to two to
three years in a high traffic situation, depending on traffic type and volume. PROFILER is effective even on delicate mineral surfaces such as fine marble; however, care must be taken to prevent undue damage to
such a surface. On delicate surfaces, especially marble, testy areas are recommended to prevent discoloration. PROFILER can be reapplied anytime reapplication is necessary, as many times as needed.
SECTION 5: INSTALLATION SUGGESTIONS
PRIOR TO APPLYING:
Always begin with a clean, bare surface, free of wax or grease buildup, sealers, etc. Apply product on small test area using procedures
listed in Directions for Usage. Surface and brush texture will vary from application to application, so this is to indicate how much brushing time is needed. After a couple minutes of brushing, run a small
piece of leather or rubber over the surface to ensure slip resistance is at desired level. Repeat application, until desired slip resistance is achieved.
Wait until test area is dry, usually 1 to 2 hours, to make sure there are no problems with the surface, such as invisible buildups, which
react adversely with PROFILER.
DIRECTION FOR USAGE:
PROFILER is ready to use: DO NOT DILUTE
To ensure a successful application, follow steps listed in Prior to Applying. above before applying product.
Use an acid-resistant, low-pressure spray apparatus, such as a manually operated pump tank sprayer or hand pump spray bottle with
adjustable tip. Coverage rates will vary with porosity size. Ceramic tile uses about 400 square feet per gallon; granite, smooth or hard trowled finish concrete uses about 300.
Apply, generously in solid spray stream, treating only 30 to 40 square feet at a time. Immediately begin brushing wetted area with a very
soft-bristled brush in circular motion. Do not use pads or hard bristled brushes! Total brushing time may vary from 2 to 8 minutes, depending on surface and brush texture. Light traces of lather are usually
visible when brushing. If they aren't, you may need to spray-apply more PROFILER while brushing.
Generously rinse floor immediately after brushing to neutralize PROFILER before moving on to the next 30 to 40 square feet area. Mop Dry.
Surface traction effectiveness can be field tested before and after an application by sliding a piece of rubber or leather over the
treated surface to determine traction quality increase.
SECTION 6: PRECAUTIONS
- PROFILER contains acids and should be treated with care.
- Avoid splattering surfaces that are not intended for treatment. Damage could occur.
- Avoid contact with eyes or skin. Always wear rubber/neoprene gloves and splash eye wear protection. An eyewash facility should be nearby and
ready for use.
