SECTION 3: PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
SURFACE SEAL is a low-VOC, multifunctional, self cross-linking, and Aqueous Siliconate penetrating sealer. SURFACE SEAL forms a water
insoluble, water-resistant treatment within 24 hours of its application. SURFACE SEAL provides effective water repellency upon drying, however, reaches full-strength effectiveness in approximately 24 hours,
following its application.
SECTION 4: BASIC USE
SURFACE SEAL is primarily used as a penetrating surface sealer to impart water resistance to highly absorbent materials i.e., brick,
sandstone, grout, limestone, and concrete, effectively reducing surface water absorption of treated material. SURFACE SEAL is an aqueous penetrating treatment which provides a tough breathable filmless surface
barrier to the porous treated material. SURFACE SEAL helps in maintaining the original aesthetically pleasing appearance by preventing liquid and/or contaminate from penetrating into the surface of the treated
material. SURFACE SEAL does not deleteriously affect a surface's bonding ability. SURFACE SEAL eliminates or greatly retards efflorescence leaching, while providing an additional increase in
abrasion, cracking and spalling resistance.
Limitations: SURFACE SEAL spills or droplets in contact with any surface, other than the one being treated, should be removed using
water and a cloth or brush, not be allowed to air dry. Dried product is very difficult to remove
SECTION 5: INSTALLATION SUGGESTIONS
PDO NOT ATOMIZE! Always spot test prior to use to determine suitability.
SURFACE SEAL may be applied by dipping, spraying or brushing.
When spray applied, use a low-pressure solid-stream spray apparatus, i.e., pump-tank sprayer or mechanical orchard sprayer, utilizing a
spray tip no smaller than .026. SURFACE SEAL should be applied just short of the material saturation point, but do not allow to puddle, use an overlapping spray pattern.
ESTIMATED COVERAGE RATES
Apply until fully saturated, coverage rate depends on substrate absorptivity.

SECTION 6: PRECAUTIONS
- SURFACE SEAL is supplied ready to use, do not further dilute.
- SURFACE SEAL is a penetrating liquid requiring unhindered access to the surface
porosity of the material being treated. Remove coatings or buildups of any kind present on the surface or else SURFACE SEAL cannot penetrate properly.
- DO NOT ALLOW SURFACE SEAL TO PUDDLE: White precipitate may form if SURFACE SEAL is over applied. Surface should be washed and may need
scrubbing if this occurs.
- Protect areas not intended for coverage, as SURFACE SEAL is very difficult to remove later.
- SURFACE SEAL may damage or kill vegetation and possibly stain or etch glass,
plastic and aluminum. If contact should occur, wash immediately with water.
- Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Small amounts transferred to mouth on fingers should not cause injury.
- Do not apply when ambient temperature goes below 35 degrees F
- 24 hours of drying time should be allowed before opening the treated area to heavy-duty use.
